{"id":148,"date":"2015-07-17T16:47:52","date_gmt":"2015-07-17T16:47:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.yourpcgeek.com\/blog\/?page_id=148"},"modified":"2015-07-17T17:54:14","modified_gmt":"2015-07-17T17:54:14","slug":"wine-country-near-chautauqua","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/yourpcgeek.com\/blog\/our-previous-travels\/chautauqua-2014\/wine-country-near-chautauqua\/","title":{"rendered":"Wine Country near Chautauqua"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Strawberry Festival \u2013 Merritt Winery \u2013\u00a06\/14\/2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saturday we took a little drive to visit the Merritt Winery and take in their Strawberry Festival. \u00a0They had a pretty good live band playing and a nice collection of vintage and antique cars. \u00a0Hamburgers &amp; Hotdogs on the grill, beer stands all around. \u00a0Even some Wine Slushies! And who could argue with their motto: \u00a0<em>Save Water \u2014 Drink Wine!<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0But the only strawberries we saw were in the Strawberry Shortcake or the Chocolate Covered Strawberries! \u00a0We seem to have a theme going: the Tulip Festival with very few Tulips, now the Strawberry with very few Strawberries!!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Woodbury Winery<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Along the way back to the campground we stopped at Woodbury Winery. \u00a0A lovely place with a nice tasting room and several very enjoyable wines. \u00a0They also have a dining room \/ art room, but it was occupied \u2013 so we will save that for another day. \u00a0(PS: Judith drove on home.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Strawberry Festival \u2013 Merritt Winery \u2013\u00a06\/14\/2014 Saturday we took a little drive to visit the Merritt Winery and take in their Strawberry Festival. \u00a0They had a pretty good live band playing and a nice collection of vintage and antique cars. \u00a0Hamburgers &amp; Hotdogs on the grill, beer stands all around. \u00a0Even some Wine Slushies!
