Gila Cliff Dwellings, Silver City, City of Rocks, & Rockhound State Park<\/strong><\/p>\n

We took a three day excursion to visit Gila Cliff Dwellings and the surrounding area.<\/p>\n

The drive \u00a0through Gila National Forest was spectacular:\"DSC_0238_stitch<\/a><\/p>\n

And the cliff dwellings themselves were great!<\/p>\n

\"DSC_0251<\/a> \"DSC_0256<\/a> \"DSC_0278<\/a> \"DSC_0288<\/a> \"DSC_0292_stitch<\/a> \"DSC_0316<\/a> \"DSC_0317<\/a> \"DSC_0318<\/a>\"DSC_0319<\/a><\/p>\n

We stayed at City of Rock State Park<\/strong> — It was like camping in the middle of Stonehedge!<\/p>\n

We also visited Silver City<\/strong> — an old mining town that is also a college town and a fun, funky place. \u00a0The “Little Toad Creek” brewery was a fun place to eat.<\/p>\n

Judith has always wanted to go “rock hounding”; so we went to Rock Hound State Park<\/strong> where she found some fun items.<\/p>\n

She may have found a beautiful piece of very smooth “agate” (???)<\/p>\n
