We arrived at Custer State Park<\/strong> and dry camped at the Center Lake Campground. \u00a0It was a beautiful site, and we had a deer hopping past just up the hill after we got settled.<\/p>\n

We took a drive around the Wildlife Loop. \u00a0It was wonderful!<\/p>\n

Bison:<\/p>\n

Wild Turkey:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The wild Burros were very friendly — no way to keep 25 yards from the wildlife!<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

I’m not sure whether he was reading the map, or just in “time out”!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Prairie Dog:<\/p>\n

American Pronghorn: \u00a0(Just sprouting their horns!)<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \u00a0\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

The next day we met our friends Leah & Kevin for a trip to Mt. Rushmore<\/strong>. \u00a0It was “mind-blowing” to be able to see the great sculpture from miles & miles away!<\/p>\n

On the road, just after coming out of one of the tunnels:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And finally, at the site. \u00a0First the Avenue of the States, then other pictures from the site.<\/p>\n
