August 19, 2015 — The countdown is approaching the “zero hour”! \u00a0The Solar System is working & so is the Composting Toilet!<\/p>\n

Mark will end his “full-time” work on September 30; on October 16, Judith will start two weeks of vacation before her official retirement date. \u00a0We plan to “pull out” and start our adventure the next day, October 17.<\/p>\n

We will first head south, spending a day or two around Charleston, SC, to see what is fun and interesting to see there. \u00a0Then we will continue to Winter Haven, FL, (arriving about the 20th for 10 days or so) to spend some time\u00a0there with Barbara, Clint, Allison, et al., and to see some of the other sights we have missed in central Florida.<\/p>\n

Then we will head to\u00a0the Florida panhandle for about a week to visit Fran and investigate that area.<\/p>\n

Then it’s off to Livingston, TX, to become REAL TEXANS. \u00a0We will get our Texas driver’s licenses, and take care of the other business that will make Texas our legal home. \u00a0We will also be near Zac, Magda & David (in Houston) and not too far from Don & Wendy (in Dallas). \u00a0We will attend the Escapee’s RV Boot Camp to polish our RVing skills, investigate that area of Texas, and have Thanksgiving with the Family.<\/p>\n

Then, it’s off to Casa Grande Ruins and volunteering starting about the first of December!<\/p>\n

Here’s our tentative route — 3332 miles:<\/p>\n
