Woodside Lake Park Campground

April 2015

Woodside Lake is about a 30 minute drive from our house – but a world apart in living!  As we have said earlier, we moved “Lucy” from the absolutely delightful Hidden Valley Campground near Jamestown, NY, and Chautauqua with the hope that our house in Shaker Heights would sell quickly and we would “need” to move into the trailer while we continued to work until we are ready to finally “pull the plug” on retirement.

We are in a very private spot at the very back of the campground.  We have had a group of wild turkey wander past our campsite.  A Pileated Woodpecker was working on a tree across the drive from our trailer.  We have wood thrush and flickers regularly calling us from the woods across the drive!  It is a lovely place to spend the summer.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera handy when our interesting visitors came by, so I have borrowed these pictures from the internet.
