Olympic Peninsula, family and friends

After leaving the immediate Seattle area (and escaping all the traffic) we headed to the Olympic Peninsula.  We stayed at an Escapees SKP park near the quaint village of Port Townsend

Exploring the Peninsula, we visited Cape Flattery –   the northwestern most point of the contiguous United States.

Hurricane Ridge — Olympic National Park:

View across to Vancouver Island, BC.

We  visited Portland’s Rose Garden…

And the Chinese Garden…

We took a delightful hike with Roger and Cindi…

We had a great outing with Brad, Kajsa, and the kids at a river popular for floating…

 And at the beach …

Our time in Oregon was made more enjoyable due to the hospitality of our new friends, Bill and Robin.   Hanging out with Bill and Robin, Roger and Cindi … playing Dominion, helping renovate their well house … it was a wonderful time!

As we leave our friends in Oregon we head to Arizona to Volunteer at the Petrified Forest National Park!
