We visited Chautauqua Institute several times, what a gorgeous facility. Dozens, perhaps hundreds of homes from the 1880’s with lovely gardens.  We kept “planning” to go for one or another of their cultural programs, but the summer slipped away before we made it.  However, they have nationally and internationally known speakers, theater & dance performances, art showings, an entire institute devoted to helping the children of Abraham (Jews, Muslims, & Christians) better understand one another.  And so much more…  Oh, well — we did get to see one Opera rehearsal!
