Wrapping up in Cleveland

September 3, 2015

Time is absolutely flying!  Our planned departure date is rushing toward us at amazing speed!

The house is SOLD!  The buyers’ have accepted our revised list of additional “repairs” that came out of their property inspection.  That was the last hurdle that could disrupt the sale.  Closing will be before Sept 27.  Now we just need to cut down that little tree, dig out the dirt & mulch along the back of the garage, replace the cracked garage door window, have the electrician install a new GFCI outlet, and a few other little things.

We have “almost” all of our “stuff” out of the house.  There is a stack for the Sniderman kids, a few boxes of records, etc.  Michael has arranged a storage location for the furniture he is buying, and we will be working with him to get it moved out.  But I still need to clear out more computer stuff from my office – <groan>.  We have also cancelled our home phone & home internet — please use our cell numbers to reach us, the home number will no longer work!

The trailer is starting to get full, but there is still a fair amount of room in “the basement” (the underneath storage bay).  So everything looks like it’s going to fit!

Judith has a buyer for her car.  She’s had the cataract surgery on both eyes, and is doing well.  My cataract will be done soon.

Still remaining is a variety of pre-trip maintenance items for the truck & trailer, new cell phones, and about a thousand other little details.  But we are racing along toward “Departure Day”!

    Inquiring minds want to know!

    1. Unfortunately, we will stay until mid-October. But we will have turned over the house keys before 9/30 so we will have to fire up our mail forwarding service!

  2. Godspeed my Friends, Godspeed! We wish you both the very best and a speedy recovery from your surgery’s.
